ADSNOOZE

Privacy Policy

Effective October 6, 2026 · Operated by Shadow Glass Software.

This page covers the AdSnooze website (adsnooze.com) and the AdSnooze desktop app. It's written in plain English on purpose — if anything here is unclear, email [email protected] and we'll explain.

The AdSnooze app itself

The app is telemetry-free. It does not phone home, does not make network requests to us, and does not collect or transmit any usage data, listening history, or analytics. It detects Spotify Free ads and uses the device's own volume controls while they play. The optional Founders Edition license key is checked entirely on your own computer — activating it never contacts a server, and the free app doesn't require an account, email, or license key at all.

If you request the free Windows download or join the platform waitlist

The site has two forms that ask for an email: the Windows download form, and the "notify me" waitlist for Android and Omarchy on Linux. The download form also asks for your first name. Either way, we store your name (if given), your email, which form you used, and when you signed up. We also store what every web request already sends us — your browser's user agent string and your country, from Cloudflare's network, not from anything the app does. We create a random unsubscribe token and, if you opt out, keep when you did so so future sends can honor that choice.

We use which form you came from to decide what to email you: if you've only ever joined the platform waitlist, we'll email you about the Android and Omarchy launches you signed up for, not the wider list of Windows feature updates.

Download counts

Each time someone downloads a copy of AdSnooze, we log which build was downloaded, when, and the requesting browser's user agent and country, so we can show an honest running download count. These counting records are not tied to your name or email.

Buying the Founders Edition

Founders Edition purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy (lemonsqueezy.com) or Ko-fi (ko-fi.com), whichever you choose at checkout. They are the actual merchant and payment processor — your card details go to them, never to us. Their payment notification to our server carries your email and the order's details; we only keep your email, the payment provider's name, and the order or transaction reference — we don't store your card details or the amount you paid. From that, we create a license record: a key ID, the signed license key itself, the tier ("founders"), when it was created, when the license email was sent, and a private claim-link secret so you can re-fetch a lost key. The transaction reference can briefly appear in our server's own request logs, which are short-lived. Your license key email is sent through Cloudflare's Email Service.

What's stored in your browser

A few things are saved in your own browser's local storage, not on our server: your cookie-banner choice (whether you accepted analytics), and a local backup copy of the name/email you typed into the download or waitlist form, and the time it was saved, kept so a lead is never lost if that request to our server fails. You can clear these any time from your browser's site-data settings — clearing them doesn't delete anything already stored on our server.

Cookies and website analytics

adsnooze.com uses Google Analytics, but only after you click "Sure, count my visit" on the cookie banner. Until you accept, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google (we use Google's Consent Mode, which defaults everything to denied). Accepting only turns on analytics — the ad-related signals (ad storage, ad personalization) stay denied either way, because this site doesn't run ad targeting or retargeting. If you accept, Google Analytics receives the pages you visit, the site or campaign link that sent you here, your browser and device type, and an approximate location (Google derives this from your IP; we don't look it up ourselves). We use this only to see which pages and ads bring visitors to this website. This has nothing to do with the AdSnooze app, which never uses analytics of any kind.

What we don't do

We don't sell your personal information to anyone, and we don't use it for ad targeting or retargeting. We don't share your email with anyone except the processors named above, who need it to do the job you asked them to do (collect your payment, send your license email).

How long we keep this

We don't currently run an automatic deletion schedule — subscriber, download-count, and license records stay in our database for as long as the website and app are operating. If you ask us to delete your information, email us and we'll remove what we can (your name, email, and subscriber record) within a few days, outside of what we're required to keep for payment or tax records.

Your choices

Email [email protected] any time to ask what we have about you, correct it, stop future emails, or delete it. We'll always honor a reasonable request like this.

Children

AdSnooze isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or how we use it changes in any real way, we'll update this page and move the effective date above.
